Jul. 1st, 2008 02:38 pmI met her. Her. I-I couldn’t believe it! She was everything I’d hoped she would be and more: smart, sweet, understanding… And her eyes! So kind. So… so perfect. I couldn’t help it. I-I blurted out my entire life story! And after all was said and done and I’d confessed my deepest, darkest sins, she just smiled and gently laughed because she knew. She understood me.
We talked for a long time after that (ME. Talking to HER). I shared my hopes and my dreams, told her how much her books meant to me and how they changed my life and drove me to pick up a sketch book again. I showed her some of my drawings and then…
And then something amazing happened. Something incredible.
She chose me as her apprentice. Me. Working with her.
This is it. This is what I’ve been waiting for. Larry Butz is dead.
